The Monster in the Forest:

 The Monster is in Esotopia at the X, the Quest Flag and the Monster only appear when you walk over the area it should be found standing at:

He is standing at the end of the long path, but he won't attack you right away, so speak to him:

The moment you click OK he will attack:

As the Master said, you will need to use Weapon of Legends to kill the Golem. In my opinion the golem is the hardest monster to beat in the whole game, especially if you don't know what you are doing beforehand. First of all he is immune to magical attacks, example: Poison Mist, Rotating Blades of Light, Ice Shards, Ring of Fire, Blazing Disc, etc. These will do 0 damage. He isn't just resistant he is totally immune. He is also immune to all weapons except the Weapon of Legends. (I hope you didn't trash it when you saw that it sucked!) He is also physical attack resistant so if you simply slash him with the weapon it won't do all that much good. He is very powerful so one stomp from him takes most of your life. So... this is what to do: equip the Weapon of Legends and cast any sort of boost physical attack and defense spells that you have. He is weak to magic physical damage as well. So if you have any gear that has plus to magic make sure to equip it. Or if you are playing as a Deamon use your Energy Deamon form, even if it is low level it will help. Then use some sort of attack like Hard Hit, Multi-hit or Attack over and over and over. If you do all this he won't live very long. When it comes to beating him as a Battle Mage, who has no physical attacks, just use as many protective spells as you can... even if they are only level 1 spells. Use Reiki, Stoneskin and Water Form. It will take a very long time to kill the Golem so make sure your inventory is full of health potions, but it can be done.
