The spell checker seems to work but an error message is generated because there seems to be no word list.

My wife decided she wanted to go to class with me, so I brought her up to speed as far as the first class was concerned and she joined the class for our second session. I hope her workload and outside activities allow her to attend all the classroom sessions. If not, I will hold “makeup” sessions to keep her up to speed with the rest of the class.

Doing something like this is extremely time consuming but I think the result will be well worth the effort. I enjoy helping others learn but there is just something a little more rewarding when that “other” is my wife.

Well, class today was a disappointment and yet exciting as well.

It was disappointing in that there were only 2 students.

It was exciting because they both really want to learn and, since there are only two of them, I will be able to give them more individual attention to help them learn easier.

They both signed up for Blogs today and they both used the Website Builder to create their base website. Quite an accomplishment for older students who don’t have that much computer knowledge and almost no Internet experience!

Got some help from my host in locating the file aspell on the server and I am hoping that the spell check function now works …

Here will be my first test of the Spell-Check to see if I can generate an error message that can be copied to a text file for ready reference.

Hmm. The Spell-Check option does not seem to be available when adding comments.

Just checked it and there is an error that must be fixed. It doesn’t crash the blog but it doesn’t work either. I will post here when it is fixed.

Well, after updating to the latest version of the software and uploading it to the host, I seem to have the blog software running. Now it’s time to pursue other possibilities.

Fascinating, new posts appear on top. I must have realized this at some level but for some reason, it still took me by surprise. Makes sense though. Now the most recent comments will be on top.
