Battle Mage:

 

The Battle Mage is the classical spell-caster, but with one difference; he is also an adept sword-fighter when the situation demands it. But the Battle Mage’s most powerful weapon in the elemental magic that is able to shake the very foundations of the world.

Beginning Magic Lore Increases the damage dealt by all types of magic.
Meditation Improves the regeneration rate for all spells.
Level 3 Fire Magic Improves the regeneration rate and casting times for Fire spells.
Earth Magic Improves the regeneration rate and casting times for Earth spells.
Water Magic Improves the regeneration rate and casting times for Water spells.
Air Magic Improves the regeneration rate and casting times for Air spells.
Weapon Lore Opponents suffer more damage from close and ranged combat attacks.
Sword Lore Increases the speed and effectiveness of attacks with swords.
Long-handled Weapons Increases the speed and effectiveness of attacks with long-handled weapons.
Riding Enables the riding of superior horses.
Level 6 Agility Increases defense and attack values during combat.
Level 12 Trading Merchants will offer their good cheaper and are more likely to offer special items.
Level 20 Constitution Increases life energy and improves it's regeneration rate.
Level 30 Disarming Increases the chances of disarming opponents during combat.
Level 50 Parrying Attacks can be parried (deflected) with weapons and shields.

Combat Arts:

      Spells
Fire Magic-
Fireball: This spell conjures the classical fireball, which bursts from the hands of the Battle Mage and causes fire damage to the opponent.
Flame Skin: This spell sets the Battle Mage ablaze. Whoever approaches him will suffer fire damage.
This also increases the Battle Mage's protection against arrows. These will catch fire when they get close to the Battle Mage and will deal less damage on impact.
Purgatory: The Battle Mage conjures a blazing conflagration, which will singe all opponents touching it. This spell is very effective against a large group of slow opponents because the flame will always pursue the opponent closest to it. If there are no opponents, the flame will follow the Battle Mage without causing him any harm.
Fire Spiral: A circle of fire will spread and contract in a pulsating movement. Opponents touching these flames will suffer fire damage.

Earth Magic-
Stone Skin: The skin of the Battle Mage will turn hard as rock. This increases the physical resistance and the armor class of the Battle Mage or the targeted ally.
Petrifaction: This spell turns opponents into stone for a while. When the stone is shattered, the opponent will turn into dust.
Circle of Fear: A protective wall of runes appears around the Battle Mage. Opponents can pass through this barrier, but with extreme difficulty. Therefore, opponents are usually imprisoned within the rune circle or they are prevented from entering it.
Meteor Storm: This spell teleports meteorites from orbit and lets them rain on the area where the Battle Mage stands. Opponents who are struck by the glowing pieces of rock suffer damage.

Air Magic-
Whirlwind: The spell creates a roaring whirlwind around the Battle Mage. Close combat fighters might lose their weapons during the fight and ranged combat fighters are unable to hit their target effectively.
Gust of Wind: The Battle Mage throws a gust of wind against his opponents. They are knocked back and they suffer damage. Projectiles will not be deflected.
Phase Shift: This spells enables the Battle Mage to teleport to any destination within his line of sight. This might be useful to escape from a fight. The Battle Mage will be briefly invulnerable once he has cast the spell.
Lightning Strike: Lightning will spring from the hands of the Battle Mage. After hitting the first target, it will continue to jump from enemy to enemy within the vicinity, damaging each in turn.

Water Magic-
Cataract of Agility: The agility of the Battle Mage or a targeted ally will be increased for a period of time. This will increase both the speed of attacks and movement speed.

Ice Shards: This spell hurls numerous small ice shards towards the opponent in order to damage him. The area effect of this spell gets wider as it travels further fro the Battle Mage.
Ring of Ice: This spell conjures a spiked frost ring. The sharp-edged ice crystals will slow down opponents and inflict damage.
Water Form: This spell turns the Battle Mage into pure water for a while. This renders him transparent and he is able to pass opponents in order to leave a dangerous area.
The opponents will lose sight of the Battle Mage and will no longer be able to target him.

Life Magic-
Spiritual Healing: This spell regenerates the life energy of the Battle Mage or the targeted ally.
It will also cure poison effects.
Shield Wall: The Battle Mage conjures a wall of shields protecting him from magical and ranged attacks. This spell does not provide any protection during close combat.
Ghost Meadow: The spell increases the regeneration rate of spells.
Reiki: This ability speeds up the regeneration of life energy for either the Battle Mage or the targeted ally.
