I always update my Windows once a year whether it needs it or not. Fortunately, my latest update was just this morning. [;)]

I wouldn't worry about the flaws...MS always has them, always will, and they always get fixed. As long as you keep your computer firewalled with virus/xxware protection everything should be fine.

Microsoft just updated their automatic update system (they combined Windows Update and Office Update to Microsoft Update) and it seems to work about the same. just check for an update at http://www.windowsupdate.com and it should download the latest software for it.
