Telnet Server

Postby Ben Last » Fri 2007 Mar 23 9:19

Hi, I've been looking for a free Telnet server for Windows 98(se), but had no luck at all.

Looking for one which I can change the default shell (ie run a dos program instead of the command prompt) & preferrably supporting colour.

Does any one know of any software
Thanks.

Why do you want a Telnet Server? There are many good FTP programs out there that will allow you to connect to another computer.

If you must have a Telnet program, I did find How to Choose a Telnet Program as well as links to the following programs:

EasyTerm

EmTec

DX Telnet

Hope this gives you what you need. :)

Hi Spock, thanks for your reply, unfortunately it seems the links you posted are for telnet clients, not telnet servers.

I've been playing with Telnet & BBSes recently and wanted a Telnet Server for Windows 98.

OK, how about this?

NetworkingFiles.con - SSH and Telnet Servers.

tucows - Telnet Servers

Since they are both lists of downloads, I won't list more, help yourself. ;)
